What is Far-UVC?

What is the difference between UVC and Far-UVC?

The UVC spectrum ranges from 200 to 280 nm. Regular germicidal UVC light is typically at 254nm which can be a health hazard to human skin and eyes.

Far-UVC operates at a much shorter wavelength of ~222nm. This means it is capable of destroying pathogens, but is unable to penetrate skin or eye cells.
